Vacancies and Recruitment Details
As per the government’s notification, the CSE 2024 cycle will fill a total of 1, 129 vacancies across various services:
- Indian Administrative Service (IAS): 180 posts (73 General, 18 EWS, 52 OBC, 24 SC, 13 ST)
- Indian Foreign Service (IFS): 55 posts (23 General, 5 EWS, 13 OBC, 9 SC, 5 ST)
- Indian Police Service (IPS): 147 posts
- Central Services Group ‘A’: 605 posts
- Group ‘B’ Services: 142 posts
Additionally, under Rule 20 (4) & (5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules 2024, the UPSC has maintained a consolidated Reserve List comprising 230 candidates: 115 General, 35 EWS, 59 OBC, 14 SC, 6 ST, and 1 PwBD-1.
